Squirrel and Robin have built their own beautiful nest, just like all the other couples, and now they wait for their egg to arrive. They longingly hope and wait, but still there is no egg. One morning, however, their biggest wish comes true: An egg is in the nest! Squirrel and Robin are overjoyed, though hatching is not always easy and becoming a family can be pretty strenuous, too.

Born Christine Goppel in 1979, Lilli L'Arronge studied Visual Communications at Weimar’s Bauhaus University and then moved to Münster to become an illustrator. Today she illustrates, designs and writes books for children and adults. And time permitting, makes the odd animated feature, sometimes even for television.
