About us

Dear colleagues, welcome to our website!

Jacoby & Stuart was founded in March 2008 by Edmund Jacoby and his wife Nicola Stuart, both of whom have been in publishing for many successful years, and the first books were released in September 2008.

The list consists of ambitious children’s books, both richly illustrated and well-written and outstanding novels as well as creative non-fiction books for young readers. Furthermore we publish lovingly designed gift books, richly illustrated and informative non-fiction for adults as well as inventive and exquisite cookbooks – and more is to follow!

Jacoby & Stuart’s books are created and illustrated by brilliant artists such as Rotraut Susanne Berner, Jutta Bauer, Atak, Christoph Niemann, Axel Scheffler, Bernd Mölck-Tassel, Britta Teckentrup, Lilli L’Arronge, Joëlle Tourlonias, Judith Drews and Kristina Heldmann, they contain texts penned by well-known authors such as Thomas Harding, Eva Rottmann, Dieter Böge, Matthias Mücke, Hannes Wirlinger, Barbara Sichtermann, Micha Brumlik, Andrea Hensgen or Ulrike Rylance, and they are carefully designed and produced.
The symbiosis of highly informed texts and excellent design and quality is a trademark of the books by Jacoby & Stuart.

In the international rights section of our website you’ll find information on those titles of our list that are available for foreign language editions. We are also proud to present new releases and forthcoming projects as well as biographical information on our authors and illustrators.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us, if you have any queries or would like to have PDF files or reading copies sent to you.

We look very much forward to hearing from you.
