Judith Allert makes us smile with her fresh, cheeky and witty lyrics, and when the delightful illustrations by Joëlle Tourlonias visualize the written word, then we have a first-class treat!
When woolly piggies exercise, one thing above all applies: the pulse remains at rest! The high song of leisureliness disguised as a sophisticated meditative sports program: woolly pig yoga! From potato to diva to dunghill – no other species has the laissez-faire attitude in its blood like woolly pigs.
This gift book takes a friendly, humorous approach to yoga and, with Judith Allert’s tongue-in-cheek texts and Joëlle Tourlonias‘ skilfully cute, witty illustrations, makes readers smile and tempted to try out the lessons themselves straight away. Woolly Pig Yoga for Beginners is a book with which you can lovingly tease your yoga-loving friends, family members and acquaintances – and perhaps also inspire them to try out one or two new exercises.
Judith Allert, born in 1982, studied modern German Literature in Bayreuth and published her first children‘s books during this time. Today she lives with her husband, dogs, cats, horses and Woolly pigs (!) on an old farm out in the sticks, where she can think up new stories while weeding.
Joëlle Tourlonias, born in Hanau in 1985, studied Visual Communications at the Bauhaus University in Weimar, focussing on illustration and painting. She has been self-employed since 2009 – drawing, painting, living and loving in the countryside.
