Fionella and the Ghost of Grandpa Gregory

A Turbulent Cat Adventure and a Delicious Reading Treat

Warm-hearted, funny, and full of surprising twists, Katja Spitzer tells an adventurous story about a family of cats, friendship, imagination, and the magic of great recipes.

A delightful reading experience—with a pinch of chili, a hint of chocolate, and a lot of heart.

The cozy Pie House smelled of rosehip pastries and crispy pies—the café’s special treats. Pies are small round pastries that can be filled with sweet or savory ingredients.

Now, however, Fionella’s café is in danger of closing. The heart of the family business, the legendary Gregory`s Pie Sauces, has run out, and the recipes have disappeared. Were they stolen?

When Fionella opens the last ancient bottle of sauce, something unbelievable happens. With a loud POP!, the ghost of her grandfather, Grandpa Gregory, appears—a grumpy but lovable old tomcat who loves telling stories, has a huge appetite, and an even bigger imagination.

Together, they set off on a wild search for the missing recipe book. Their journey leads them to a spooky castle, an eccentric countess, a secret hobby chef, and the question of what is real and what is only a good story.

Between kitchen chaos, ghostly arguments, and delicious aromas, Fionella discovers not only the secret of the famous sauces, but also her own courage.
