Sammy’s pet is a very special hamster called Raffi – not only can he score goals, but also sniff out smuggled goods. One day, however, the dearly-beloved pet has disappeared. Neither Sammy’s mum nor his sister have time to help him look for Raffi, and Sammy’s dad is far away in Afghanistan. Hence Sammy begins the search all alone. Soon it turns out that Raffi has been kidnapped by a ruthless villain …
A tumultuous pursuit – by bus, by bicycle, by motorbike and even on sea – takes its course. And Sammy is not alone anymore, but has people helping him rescue his hamster! An exciting, at times absolutely hilarious story about an eight year old, who turns from a somewhat coward into a brave and courageous boy. Great fun!
